The Severn Valley Railway’s Visitor Centre, adjacent to Highley Station in Shropshire, provides an exciting and unusual backdrop for a wide variety of entertainment, conference and meeting events. Called ‘The Engine House’, this large venue houses a collection of steam locomotives and other railway artefacts in a modern museum setting. In addition to the exhibitions and displays, The Engine House boasts two comfortable conference rooms which include a digital projector, overhead projector, DVD player, and whiteboard. Exclusive use options are available on certain dates but the conference rooms are available for private functions at all times. The Visitor Centre is also fully accessible for the less able. In addition to facilities at the Visitor Centre the Railway operates restaurant car and observation saloon vehicles which can provide catering, including full dining and exclusive use options for groups of 23 to 160 people. The Severn Valley Railway and The Engine House are the ideal venue for all occasions whether it is a product launch, corporate hospitality or a family celebration.
