Celebrate the countdown to Christmas at Telford Shopping Centre’s light switch on event!
Starting at 11am they have an action packed day full of fun as they countdown their Christmas lights are switched on by Father Christmas at 5pm.
There will be festive entertainment across the whole Centre throughout the day including:
Friday 22 November 2019
Malinslee Christmas Lights Switch-On
Malinslee Christmas Lights Switch-On takes place on Friday 22 November between 3pm and 6pm.
The lights will be switched on by the Mayor of Great Dawley at Malinslee Centre, Brunel Road.
The event will include a Street Fayre, Face painting and Mascots. There will also be a Community Stage and Music along with Community Stalls.
Santa will be dropping in during the event with fireworks at 6pm.

Wellington Christmas Lights Switch On and Christmas Market
Wellington Christmas Light Switch on event with live music and entertainment starts from 3:30pm on Saturday 23 November. The Mayor of Wellington will launch the event followed by performances from Wellington Brass Band and other performances in the Market Square. There will also be activities taking place on the grounds of Wellington's All Saints Church.
The grand switch on will take place along with Christmas music.

Donnington and Muxton Parish Christmas Light Switch-on
Donnington and Muxton Parish Council will be hosting their annual Christmas Festival and Light Switch on between 2PM and 6PM.
There will be lots of festivities, including stalls, face painting, music & singing, a bucking reindeer, a bouncy castle and much more!

Newport Christmas Lights Switch-on
Head to Newport for its magic festive feel with the official switch on of the decorative lights throughout the town.
A procession including Father Christmas will travel from the Guildhall to St Nicholas Church at 5:45pm. The switch on of the lights will take place at 6:15pm. This will be followed by a festive sing-a-long in the church accompanied by the Salvation Army.
Nova FM will be providing live entertainment on The Buttercross from 4pm.

Dawley Christmas Lights Switch-On
Dawley Christmas Lights are to be switched on by the Mayor of Great Dawley on Friday 29 November.
Events will take place from 3pm to 6pm including love music, community stalls and a visit from Santa.
Events take place at the Bandstand, Dawley High Street and Christian Centre.
St Georges Christmas Light Switch-On
The event will be opened by the Deputy Mayor of Telford with children from St Georges Primary School Singing straight after.
There will be entertainment from Cosford Military Wives Choir, Telford Community Steel Band and Lisa Stevens leading up to the switch on.
The event starts at 3pm and the Christmas lights will be swicthed on at 6:30pm by a special guest.

Oakengates Christmas Light Switch-On
Oakengates will be hosting its annual festive market and light switch on! The market will start from 9am, with lots of local stalls selling craft, food and gifts. Why not do a spot of Christmas shopping? From 12.30 pm, there will be live entertainment on the stage with local bands and performers. The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.30pm. Santa will also be in the town! Bring the family for a great day out!
Ironbridge Christmas Light Switch-On
Get into the festive spirit with live entertainment from 5.30pm, a visit from Santa at 6pm.
Madeley Christmas Lights Switch-On
Madeley Christmas Lights switch on will be held on Saturday 30 November from 2-7pm.
The family event which will include a Christmas Market for all those special gifts and stocking fillers, Street Entertainment, Children’s Fairground Rides, Hot Food, FREE Children’s Craft Activities in the Anstice Ballroom, Singing and Dancing from local school children and of course Santa in his special grotto.
Of course there will be Santa’s Sleigh Parade through Madeley High Street to the centre in time for the Lights Switch-on with Madeley Town Council’s Mayor around 6pm.
