Occupying the old Music Hall: an extraordinary complex of buildings including a rare medieval stone mansion (the only one of its kind in this region), this exciting venue houses a museum and special exhibitions gallery, together with a cafe bar, shop and a new visitor information centre.

Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery inspires you to think about our heritage with fine art and exhibits which relect the the town's history. Contemporary Artists have pushed the boundaries of how we see and interpret Shropshire and new technologies have been used to discover innovative and exciting new ways to look at objects.

The museum staff have developed an ambitious contemporary art programme which has delivered a range of artists' commissions, new museum displays, special exhibitions, events, education and participatory activities.
