Helping our busy store team to move goods from collection to the shop floor, including sorting items for sale, function testing, health and safety checks of goods in and pricing items.

The Youth Offending Service are calling on volunteers to join a community panel, supporting young offenders on a court order to help prevent further offending.

Community Panel Members come from all sections of the local community and no specific educational qualifications are required. It is an important part of the Youth Justice system, and features highly on the Government's agenda.

Responsibilities:
• To meet with a young person on a court order, as part of a Community Panel, negotiate and oversee a contract that will reduce their offending and oversee that contract till its completion, amending, adjusting and if necessary returning the young person to court.
• To attend and participate fully in supervision sessions as required.
• To follow relevant policies and procedures as laid down by the Youth Offending Service in the delivery of the role.
• Panel Members will be expected to commit to panels for a minimum of 12 months by negotiation.
• Panel Meetings will take place at different times during the day and evening at various venues around Hereford Worcestershire and Shropshire.

Training will be provided in conjunction with our mentoring scheme.

Expenses will be reimbursed.

A growing number of people are housebound, isolated and lonely, or at risk of becoming so. 
Bird feeding can provide great pleasure to those who are housebound and a weekly visit by a bird feeding friend can offer valuable regular social contact.
Volunteers are matched with someone in the community (preferably nearby in adjacent streets) who is isolated or at risk of becoming so, with the aim of helping them attract birds to their garden.

Volunteers will visit clients in their home, once/twice a week for up to an hour, to help feed the birds. This will include,putting up bird feeders, cleaning them, replacing seed and chatting about birds that have been using the feeders.

As a Here to Help Volunteer at Blists Hill, you will play a key role in enhancing the visitor experience and supporting the Trust’s charitable aims.

You will be on hand to welcome and assist visitors, answering any questions they may have and ensuring they have an enjoyable and memorable visit.

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one regular shift per week. This could be a half day or a full day, weekday, or weekends. Shifts will run from 10-1, and 1-5.

This role requires significant interaction with the public, including children and vulnerable adults.

A member of the Front of House team member responsible for the exhibit will be available for support at all times.
