Apley Farm Shop’s Classic Motor Day is the highlight of July, when on Sunday 17 July, over 80 classic car & motorbike owners share their passion with to visitors. It’s another free Apley event running 10-4pm & always a great day out for all the family, with a barbecue & ice cream or Sunday roast in the Creamery Café.
Every year, Pigg’s Playbarn runs a popular programme of summer holiday activities which this year will include craft, art, sport, science & nature days & most popular of all, a Teddy Bears’ picnics. Running every Wednesday in the school holidays, 10-12noon, these mornings are free with normal Playbarn admission prices. The Teddy Bears’ picnic is the exception, being held over lunchtime for hungry bears, 12-2pm.
On top of this, during August, Activ8 & EKO (Educating Kids Outdoors) are running holiday clubs, to help working parents & keep children outdoors, busy & active.
Activ8 days are always on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 27th, 28th & 29th July (week 1); 10th, 11th & 12th August (week 2) & 24th, 25th & 26th August (week 3). Each week culminates with a presentation of awards & goodies to all the children.
