Telford European Christmas Market officially opened for business yesterday in Southwater and visitors have already been descending to discover what the market has to offer.
European Christmas Market open for business
Perhaps unsurprisingly the outdoor bar serving gluhwien and other tipples has been well attended and many have already enjoyed a bratwurst or two. There is plenty of other food and drink to choose from and a variety of unusual gifts and crafts to buy.
The European Christmas Market opened the hatches on its chalet style stalls at 10am yesterday morning signaling that Christmas in Southwater really has begun.
Open everyday until Friday 23 December there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy what the market has to offer, shop for some unique gifts, and maybe indulge in some schnapps!
Local business is also represented at the market providing a great mix for those visiting.

• Christmas Ornaments from Bavaria
• Italian and German biscuits and cakes
• Gluhwein chalet (mulled wine)
• Ceramic Christmas Houses
• German Bratwurst grill (sausages)
• European Bar - premium beer, schnapps, Christmas Cocktails, flavoured hot chocolate
• German miniature cuckoo clocks
And if the kids need to be entertained a mini fun fair is also at hand for a break from the eating, drinking and shopping.
Telford European Christmas Market is open daily from 10am-7pm Sunday to Wednesday and from 10am-9pm Thursday to Saturday up to Friday 23 December.
