Are you finding it hard to grasp that new Android tablet you've had for Christmas? or do you just need a refresher with exploring your ipad? From January - March 2017, the staff at Southwater Library are putting on various short sessions to help make technology easier to understand!
Need help exploring your Android tablet?
A session to help you explore the basic functions of your Android tablet and gain confidence. Can’t find how to access your emails? Befuddled by the idea of Apps? Can't work out how to take a photograph? If your Android tablet has already been set up, bring it along for help and advice. Spaces are limited so remember to book your place
Sessions running from Thursday 19 January, 2.30pm – 4pm
Need help signing up for an email address?
There is always extra help available at Southwater library for if you’re ever in need of helping with tasks such as signing up for an email address. Feel free to come into the library for help and one of staff would be happy to assist with half hour sessions available on:
- Thursday 12 January between 2 - 4pm
- Tuesday 28 February between 2 - 4pm
Need some help exploring your iPad?

First Click
A free computer course of two sessions for complete beginners, covering using a mouse and keyboard, searching the internet and emailing. Spaces are limited so please book a place on the course date preferred. Sessions taking place on:
- Tuesdays 24 and 31 January
- Tuesdays 14 and 21 February
- Tuesdays 7 and 14 March
All First Click courses run 2 – 4pm
Stay Safe Online
Beginner’s guide to keeping safe online. Learn how to: Save files securely, use passwords and usernames, keep your computer free of viruses and buy with confidence online. Spaces are limited so remember to book your place!
Taking place on Tuesday 7 February, 2.30pm – 4pm.
